Review Process
Review Process
All applications submitted through the RAP funding portal will be assigned to a review subgroup organized by subject area (e.g. Cancer, Genetics, HIV and Infections Disease, Clinical Methods, Technology, Epidemiology, Career Development, etc.).
Proposals will be reviewed by at least two individuals with expertise in a closely related field, and discussed by the entire review subgroup. Proposals will be scored according to criteria listed in the descriptions for each mechanism. Review critiques will be returned to the proposal PI.
Each funding agency (CTSI-SOS, CFAR, ARI, REAC, Cancer Center, NCOE, etc.) will fund proposals based on their scores, and their alignment with programmatic goals.
Note!
We are actively recruiting reviewers for RAP who have a wide range of background and expertise. If you are willing to participate in 1-2 review cycles per year, reviewing only 4-5 applications per cycle, please send us an email with your contact information and areas of expertise to rap@ucsf.edu. Please know that being a reviewer doesn't exclude you from applying to any grant.
