Cathy is a Policy, Operations, and Training Officer for the Office of Sponsored Research. She trains and certifies the pre-award research administrators and supports personnel in the proposal process and award acceptance. Prior to her current role, she served as a Research Services Coordinator for Team A, supporting the Neurological Surgery Department. She gained research administration experience submitting a wide range of proposal, including applications to NIH, DARPA, DOD, and private foundations

I am Professor and Lee Hysan Chair of Oral Epidemiology in the School of Dentistry and Director of the UCSF Center to Address Disparities in Children's Oral Health (CAN-DO), a Co-Director of the Research Coordinating Center to Reduce Disparities in Multiple Chronic Diseases, and a Co-Director of the Clinical and Translational Research Innovation in Dental Schools program.

Marquette L. Gooch-Nelson is a Project Manager at UCSF's Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI), where she supports Pilot Awards and the administration of CTSI program (KL2, IMPACT) awards/supplements. Marquette is also a part of the CTSI administrative core where she utilizes LEAN and LEAN SIX SIGMA to advance CQI and is an elected staff representative on the CTSI Leadership Council.
Additionally, Marquette is a Steering Committee Member for ELSN (Executive Leadership Support Network).
